DLF’s The Mall of India

DLF’s The Mall of India

Fancy. Fabulous. Fashion.

The Mall of India is all in one. I recently dropped in to check out this new hi-end shopping & entertainment destination. Just off the exit on Noida-Greater Noida expressway, the drive is smooth and easy, except for a little patch towards Sec 18 that had slow traffic.

The electronic parking ticket machine make the parking experience pretty much hassle free. In a new, parking are divided into color zones: Pink, Green, Purple and so on, probably to enable you remember the zone you parked in with ease. Both elevators and lifts are available to get on the ground level, after a thorough security check.

There are 4 levels, and huge ones at that, for shopping and entertainment, which are partly functional as there are still a lot of shops & showrooms that are under construction or at finishing stage.  From home décor to fashion and lifestyle, you have everything you desire. The mall has over 100 fashion brands and 70 food and beverage brands, including 51 cafes, and 22 F&B kiosks. It also has 350 brands, 80 kiosk brands and 7 DT screens. That’s a long list. Just make sure you are carrying your credit card.

FOOD COURT

At the 4th level, is a spacious, well-lit food court that offers a variety of delicacies from several famous and favourite brands. Pizza Hut, Subway, Punjabi By Nature, to Taco Bell, you have it. The best part is you don’t need to buy a card and swipe at food joints. You can buy directly and that’s a time saver. I personally wished I could find a Nando’s here and gorge on corn on cob but unfortunately it wasn’t there. The space is large but week-ends would test how large is good enough. I couldn’t find a drinking water section which is a necessity in extreme Indian summer, unless you are okay with shelling out for bottled water and add to plastic waste. Also, food courts are no 5 star places, so please carry hand sanitizers, if you’re a cleanliness freak.

THEATRE

Yet to experience.

The Mall of India is a big retail space, you should have enough tine on your hands to check it out thoroughly. As I was short on tine, and also as it isn’t completely functional yet, I couldn’t spend much of it.

Wait for my second visit, to update you with the latest fashion hubs with complete list of stores, and its multiplex.
